Providing Hosting & Support Services To Covenant Roofing Since 2020

I was introduced to the team at Covenant Roofing by a longtime partner/client/vendor, Red Apples Media. We were initially brought in when the company was ready to use its custom email domain rather than continuing to use a service like Gmail. They could have obtained these services through GoDaddy or Google directly, but they wouldn’t get what they get from Computer Joe. We host these systems for them and have added security policies to safeguard them from attacks. We have helped them set up new office locations by setting up phone and internet services so they can focus on business. They had a problem with their web server at Go Daddy, where emails got rejected due to the reputation of the server GoDaddy was using to send the contact form. So, we developed an automated process for them that will check their contact forms and send out messages from their mail server to ensure nothing gets missed.

    • Developed an automation process to link Web Forms that are completed on the website to send the inquiry using the info@covenantrooffl.com email address using Microsoft 365 to send the email to bypass any SPAM issues caused by mail being sent from the IP of the website. This process checks if a new form has been completed, and if it has, it gathers all of the information from the state, generates an email from info@covenantrooffl.com, and sends it to the intended recipient based upon which form was completed.
    • Proactively maintain the digital whiteboard terminals at each office by monitoring them for active and predicted problems.
    • If problems were detected, I would immediately create a support ticket and address the concern remotely behind the scenes to ensure that we did not impede the team’s productivity at our partner’s location.
    • Provide routine maintenance by ensuring that common areas where malware hides are scanned and protected daily using our enterprise-level A/V.
    • Monitor the system for any needed updates, manage those updates, and ensure that the updates complete successfully.

  • Manage the email security platform and retrieve any legitimate emails caught by the spam filter upon being notified by the user that they are missing an email that a vendor, customer, or partner sent. As these arise, we set up custom rules to prevent these senders from being blocked in the future
  • Implemented a notice when external senders receive mail to assist in the protection of CEO spoofing.
  • Implemented DMARC, DKIM, and SPF policies to protect unauthorized email attempts from the partner’s domain.
  • Managed the reputation of the partner’s domain to ensure they stayed off email blocklists.
  • Established VOIP telephone service and internet service at new office locations
  • In the rare event that one of our protected systems gets infected with ransomware, we have implemented a custom automated policy that will isolate the infected system from the network to limit the damage to the infected computer preventing the spread of the virus.
